UN Human Rights Council Sessions


  • The 27th Session of the UN Human Rights Council will run from September 8-26, 2014 in Geneva. It will be preceded by a special session on Iraq on September 1. The 27th HRC Session will focus on the human rights situation in several countries among them: Syria, Ukraine, Sudan, Central African Republic, Somalia, DRC and Yemen. High level panels and reports will focus on prevention of genocide, human rights and transitional justice, the right to privacy in the digital age, safety of journalists, equal political participation, and protection of the family.
