The 33rd session of the UN Human Rights Council will take place in Geneva from September 13 – 30, 2016. During this session, the Council is expected to focus on the human rights situations in Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Central African Republic, and Cambodia. There will also be an enhanced interactive dialogue on the human rights situation in Burundi on September 27. The Council session will also include resolutions on the rights of indigenous people as well as political participation. Statements or actions on other country situations may also take place.
