UN Human Rights Council Sessions


  • UN Human Rights Council session 35 convenes in Geneva from June 6-23, 2017. It opens with a high level segment with an oral update from the High Commissioner for Human Rights. During the session, the Council is expected to focus on the human rights situations in Myanmar, Eritrea, Burundi, Syria, Belarus, Ukraine, Cote d’Ivoire, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. There will also be a panel discussion on the human rights of unaccompanied migrant children and adolescents as well as the annual discussion on the human rights of women on June 13. During the session, the High Commissioner will also deliver an accountability report as requested under resolution 31/35.
